CFAS Winter Journal 2021: Call for Generic Editorial Pieces

Last week we announced that our CFAS Winter Journal 2021 will be released in January. Following feedback from our Associates, we have decided to continue with our electronic edition alongside physical copies of our industry leading publication.

The main talking points in our Winter Journal will be Essential Products for Home Working and Easing Your Brexit Transition. In addition to these we’re looking for generic editorial pieces, and we are pleased to extend this offer to both members and non-members.

What’s the benefit of running a generic editorial?

Do you feel that your company is less visible than it was before the pandemic? By running an editorial in our Journal you can increase your brand recognition and prove that your industry knowledge is second to none. Each generic editorial will be credited to yourself and your company name.

Our Journals are received by more than 28,000 contacts across a broad range of relevant industry sectors and end-users. See the breakdown of their roles and industries in the pie chart below:

What could my generic editorial feature?

Your editorial could feature almost anything that you believe is relevant to your brand and our industry.

Recent submissions include Moving the Workforce Towards Sit-Stand Solutions by FIRA International; Designs on Changing Areas, an article about club and hospitality locker rooms, and Specifying Desktop USB Power by Broadpower.

How much does it cost?

We are very pleased to offer generic editorial placements free of charge for those who have taken out a quarter, half, or full page advert. Combining these two tactics will greatly increase your visibility in our next Journal, helping make sure our recipients know who you are and what you offer.

How do I learn more and submit my article?

To submit a generic editorial for the CFAS 2021 Winter Journal, simply get in touch on the details below, our contact us page, or our social channels.

The CFAS Winter Journal: Coming January 2021

Despite the current national lockdown, there are plenty of things to be positive about as we head into winter.

We have been very pleased to hear in recent weeks that confidence within our industry is slowly recovering. We are confident this recovery will continue through 2021 and the end of the Brexit transition period.

With this in mind, CFAS has taken the decision to revert to our printed journals. We will however be continuing with our electronic edition after positive feedback from members and non-members across the board.

The 2021 CFAS Winter Journal

If there was any doubt, we now know that working from home is here to stay. With this in mind, our main theme for the winter edition of our Journal will be Essential Products for Home Working. We know that this paradigm shift is being reflected in the modus operandi of our members, and look forward to hearing about the changes they’ve made.

Secure your space in our Winter Journal by emailing alan@cfas.uk. The deadline for entries is 18th December 2020. We are also looking for some interesting generic tutorials that will be placed free of charge – see below or click here for more details.

Ease your Brexit transition with CFAS

In the CFAS Winter Journal we will be answering some of the questions you may have about how Brexit will affect our industry. You can expect articles on the following:

  • How transport is important to manufacturers and dealers.
  • How have the changes from 1st January affected the furniture industry for imports/exports
  • What is the long term prediction on transport costs – overall due to time costs they need to include in their overheads.
  • Manufacturers changing product configuration for easier transport/packaging
  • What our members offer, their opinions and predictions

We’ll also be sending out our 2021 Journal Calendar. This will outline all themes for 2021, hopefully including Clerkenwell Design Week! Members can expect their copy of the CFAS 2021 Winter Journal in late January.

Call for generic editorials

If you are planning to take out a paid advert (quarter, half, or full page), we invite you to also submit an interesting and informative generic editorial on a subject of your choice. This will be placed free of charge for those who have taken out a paid advert, and is the perfect way to help rebuild your brand recognition by increasing your presence in our next Journal.

How CFAS is Helping our Members Adapt During Uncertain Times

It’s fair to say that 2020 has been a rotten year for businesses around the world, and CFAS is no different. But we are excited to tell you about how we’re finding our new normal, and how we are helping our members adapt during these uncertain times.

We’d love to hear how our members’ businesses are adapting to the new normal in our October electronic Journal, and we are now inviting submissions. If you’d like to share your experiences with our vast readership, please get in touch.

Online journal

After recently speaking with many of our CFAS members,  and due to the situation we all find ourselves in,  it became apparent that our next highly regarded industry Journal publication should be released as an online-only version. We will of course return to hard copies soon.

But don’t worry – there will still be the same mix of industry news, insightful articles, and relevant advertising. Our theme for this edition covers Open Space and Adaptation. Are you providing products suited to Open Space? How have you helped the new social-distance friendly offices with their new layouts? Maybe you have provided the many homeworkers with office furniture and ergonomic accessories! Our October Journal is the perfect place to reach our vast audiences, both in the trade and end user community, including FM’s, A & D, Educational Sectors, Hospitality, Government bodies,  Dealers, and many more.

We have also created extra means of signing up for our journal, as we don’t want staff members who are working from home to miss out on getting a copy. If you haven’t yet signed up for an electronic copy of our next journal, you can do so by scrolling to the very top of the page and clicking “Get our FREE Journal”.
