KI’s New Grafton Student Seating Collection Launched
KI, a world leader in education furniture has launched Grafton, its latest student seating collection. Designed and manufactured in the UK, Grafton is available in numerous colours and configurations to support active, collaborative spaces.
Bringing together elegance, functionality and KI’s reputation for quality, this chair is highly durable. Its distinctive moulded backrest features generous perforations that improve ventilation and flexibility, offering the advantages of a mesh-backed chair without compromising on the extra durability required in education environments. The underside of the chair features an injection-moulded shroud to reduce tampering and to minimise damage to fabric or poly seat surfaces when stacked. The rolled edges of the backrest are mirrored on the seat shell, creating a softened waterfall edge.
Grafton will be available as a stackable 4 leg chair with or without a folding tablet arm, and optional castors. A task chair with or without a swivelling tablet arm will also be available. As educational institutions move towards maker-centred and project-based pedagogies, these variants of Grafton will help to create flexible, responsive spaces that quickly adapt to user needs. The chair’s configuration options will maintain a consistent design aesthetic across a campus whilst catering to the different performance needs in different spaces.

Grafton chairs come in eight standard polypropylene colours. Frames will be stocked in black and silver grey. Additionally, white and poly colour matched frames will be available as standard.
