Dams Furniture’s Corporate Social Responsibility Recognised with Award
Dams Furniture, a family-owned business based in Knowsley, has had their Corporate Social Responsibility recognised at this year’s Knowsley Business Awards. The prestigious ceremony, delivered by Knowsley Council, recognised and celebrated the local Knowsley businesses and individuals that help Knowsley to thrive.
The Knowsley Business Awards, this year hosted at the Grand Marquee in the grounds of Knowsley Safari, gathers the best of local Knowsley businesses to recognise their significant contribution to the borough and the wider local and regional economy. The Corporate Social Responsibility award, for which Dams was granted the win, recognises in particular organisations that have made a positive impact on society, both locally and in the wider region, through innovative and sustainable CSR initiatives.
Dams Furniture is a proud family-owned, Knowsley-based business that has been providing office furniture solutions since the 1960s. Now firmly established as one of the UK’s leading full-range manufacturers of office furniture, the team take great care to develop and implement innovative initiatives to both reduce their impact on the environment, and to make a positive impact on society – whether through charity work, the hiring of employees from the local area, or providing their employees with a wide range of health and wellbeing benefits as part of their employment.
Chris Scott, Managing Director, voiced his delight at Dams’ achievement, “We couldn’t be more proud of the progress we have made in our corporate social responsibility, from the introduction of our re.think sustainability initiative, to our work with the incredible local charities Big Help Project and Claire House Children’s Hospice. We are also extremely proud of every individual employed at Dams, without the dedication of whom none of these awards would be possible.
The Knowsley Business Awards celebrate the achievements, the drive, and the determination of individuals across Knowsley, and it is a massive honour to not only be shortlisted among these fantastic local businesses, but to also take home the award as the winner.”
